Delhi Confidential: Seva Yatra on watch, National Green Tribunal app runs into trouble

Delhi Confidential delves into the ongoing scrutiny of two major initiatives in the national capital - the BJP youth wing’s Seva Sankalp Yatra and the National Green Tribunal’s mobile application.

The BJP’s Seva Yatra, spanning Vadnagar to Varanasi and back again, is being closely monitored through a dedicated monitoring dashboard. The app tracks every detail, from the distance traveled to the number of breaks taken during the journey. BJYM chief Hemang Joshi emphasized that the primary goals are to promote public service initiatives without any party affiliations and to connect citizens with relevant government schemes.

Special attention is being paid to tracking tree planting, cleanliness drives, and public engagement in such activities.

Meanwhile, the National Green Tribunal’s (NGT) mobile application, unveiled by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the Tribunal’s international conference, has been experiencing technical difficulties. Users, including legal professionals, have been repeatedly encountering issues such as “server is busy” or “slow down” messages, rendering the app largely unusable.

Despite being launched at a high-profile conference, the app’s functionality remains flawed, consistently failing to provide the promised information on cases and order details.
