Anwar masih tunggu surat peletakan jawatan Loke

Perdana Menteri Anwar Ibrahim is currently awaiting a formal letter of resignation from DAP Deputy Chief Loke Siew Fook, regarding his decision to step down as the Transport Minister. Speaking briefly when asked about Loke's status in the Cabinet, Anwar stated, "Wait for the letter (from Loke)." The Prime Minister was seen by the media after attending the UiTM Alumni Gathering together with the Prime Minister in the Technology University of Mara (UiTM).

On September 23, Loke affirmed his commitment to the decision to resign and would be sending his letter of resignation to Anwar upon his return to Malaysia from a work visit to China. This decision came in the aftermath of the Central Committee of the DAP (CEC) meeting on September 19, which decided only Loke would offer himself for the position, while other DAP ministers and deputy ministers would remain in the government.

Anwar had previously requested Loke to reconsider his decision and stated he did not wish to rush the decision on the matter. Separately, Anwar refused to comment further on the Perikatan Nasional (PN) being held up by the Malaysian Registration of Associations (JPPM). Instead, he handed over to the Minister of Home Affairs, Saifuddin Nasution Ismail, to provide clarification on the matter.

JPPM had previously confirmed that all PN activities are being held up as of September 23, following complaints lodged by Bersatu. However, the department clarified that the action taken was not a cancellation of PN registration and the alliance was given a reasonable time to respond to the notice issued.
