Anwar masih tunggu surat peletakan jawatan Loke

Perdana Menteri Anwar Ibrahim is still awaiting a formal letter from DAP Senior Vice President Loke Siew Fook regarding his decision to resign as Transport Minister, according to a report. During a recent interview with the media, Anwar stated that he is waiting for the letter before discussing Loke's status within the Cabinet. Loke had previously confirmed his intention to step down and hand in his resignation letter to Anwar upon his return from a work assignment in China.

The decision to resign was made at the DAP Central Executive Committee (CEC) meeting on September 19, following conditional pardons granted to former Prime Minister Najib Razak. The CEC decided that only Loke would nominate himself for the position, while other DAP ministers and deputy ministers would remain in office. Anwar had earlier asked Loke to reconsider his decision and not rush in making a choice.

Separately, Anwar has refused to comment further on the suspension of the Perikatan Nasional (PN) party registration by the Malaysian Societies Registration Authority (JPPM). Instead, he has handed the matter over to Home Minister Saifuddin Nasution Ismail for clarification. The JPPM had previously confirmed that all PN activities are suspended effective September 23, following allegations made by Bersatu.

However, the department clarified that this action does not entail the cancellation of PN's registration and that the suspension is given due consideration to respond to the notice issued.
