Ahead of Budget 2027, Anwar invites small entrepreneurs to identify those needing support

Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim invited small entrepreneurs across Kedah to propose recipients of aid in Budget 2027, as the government plans to increase funding for the group. Anwar emphasized the importance of ensuring that the aid reaches those who genuinely need it and have the potential to expand their businesses. The Kedah Usahawan Bangkit scheme, established by Anwar, aims to provide tailored business equipment aid to entrepreneurs and boost their productivity.

Small traders in Kedah, who make up about 1,500 in total, attended the event to support the government's efforts to strengthen the people's economy. The Implementation Coordination Unit will determine the most effective way to assist needy small entrepreneurs after receiving the proposals. Anwar highlighted that foreign investments could stimulate economic growth and create more job opportunities, while maintaining support for local enterprises, especially small entrepreneurs.
