This represents a 29% drop from the 5.9 million viewers that tuned in for Season 27's premiere in July 2025.

However, the Season 29 premiere outperformed the Season 28 opener among the 18-49 demographic categories. Ratings for the Season 29 premiere surged 33% from Season 28, climbing from a 0.73 to a 0.97 rating, and share increased by 20%, rising from a 3.96 to a 4.77 share. In total, "South Park" Season 29 premiere secured the top spot among non-sports cable shows of the week in the 18-49 demographic.

On social media, the show claimed the No. 1 position as the most social cable comedy, garnering 11 million views and 1 million engagements during its first three days. The Season 29 premiere saw 63,000 online mentions, a 40% increase over the initial three days of Season 28. Season 27 and Season 28 aired back-to-back, with Season 27 launching in July 2025 and Season 28 debuting five episodes in October 2025.

Future episodes of "South Park" are scheduled to premiere on Wednesdays, starting September 30, with subsequent episodes airing on Wednesdays, October 14, October 28, November 11, and November 25. New episodes will debut at 10 p.m. ET/PT on Comedy Central and stream simultaneously on Paramount+ in the UK, the following day in the U.S., Canada, and Australia, and on Saturdays across all other regions.
