SIFC Helps Revive A Factory After 7 Months

Hunan Resources SMC (Private) Limited has revived its industrial facility in Dhabeji, Sindh after a seven month closure, thanks to the intervention of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC). In a letter dated September 15, the company informed SIFC that its factory had remained shut since February 2026, resulting in significant financial losses and impacting its investment, operations, and business commitments.

The specific reason for the closure was not disclosed by the company, but it mentioned that efforts to resolve the issue were ongoing for an extended period. Hunan Resources expressed gratitude to SIFC for its intervention and coordination in resolving the problem related to its industrial facility. The company stated that SIFC's support had safeguarded its investment and boosted its confidence in pursuing further business and investment activities in Pakistan.

SIFC highlighted the reopening as evidence of the positive effect of coordinated investment facilitation in addressing investor concerns and fostering industrial operations. The council further emphasized its commitment to working with investors through a comprehensive government approach, concentrating on legitimate business concerns, investor confidence, and creating a more favorable environment for investment and industrial activity.
