Pope warns against losing humanity to AI

Pope Leo XIV has cautioned against the potential loss of humanity due to artificial intelligence, during his four-day visit to France. Addressing Church and state officials at the Élysée Palace in Paris, the pontiff emphasized the growing influence of AI and the necessity to maintain human values and dignity. The Pope's visit to France, expected to draw large crowds, began with a welcome at Orly airport and will culminate with a Mass at Notre-Dame Cathedral on Saturday, with an anticipated attendance of over half a million people.

Security measures, including an altar at the Place de la Concorde and increased presence around the Champs-Élysées, have been put in place for the event. While the Pope is scheduled to meet about 80,000 young people in Paris and another 150,000 at Lourdes on Sunday, he will not attend the Masses due to France's strict separation between church and state.
