Perdana Menteri Anwar Ibrahim has firmly stated that he will not interfere in matters related to the position of the Yang Di Pertuan Negeri Sembilan and any disputes concerning the state institution. He emphasized that in Malaysia's system of a constitutional monarchy, any action against the position of a ruler must be based on the constitution and laws, and not taken arbitrarily.

Anwar reiterated that he does not wish to interfere, but when it comes to the legality of such actions, one must carefully consider which actions are valid and which are not. He highlighted that the issue of a ruler's position cannot be taken lightly due to Malaysia's constitutional monarchy system, which places the royal institution within the framework of the constitution.

Anwar cautioned against the easy overthrow or replacement of a ruler, stating that such actions must adhere to the established procedures and conditions within the state constitution. He underscored that the cabinet, including the Prime Minister and other ministers, operates within the boundaries set by the constitution and cannot unilaterally alter matters concerning the royal institution.

Anwar stressed that these principles must be upheld to ensure the integrity of the constitutional monarchy system and prevent any actions that contradict it. He warned that if a ruler could be easily removed, the entire constitutional monarchy system could be undermined, which would be detrimental to the nation. Anwar acknowledged the concerns of the people, particularly Malaysians, including Chinese, Indian, and others, who do not wish for this system to be undermined.

He affirmed that the issue cannot be viewed solely as a political matter but is deeply intertwined with the nation's system that needs to be preserved. Anwar emphasized that if Malaysians, including those from various ethnic backgrounds, fail to consider this critical issue involving the Malay Ruler, they risk losing respect and unity.
