October 1: PromiseLand’s ProTaxi brings ‘Freedom on the Road’ as global energy costs reshape transportation

On October 1, Nigeria will celebrate its 66th Independence Anniversary, coinciding with the launch of PromiseLand Innovations Limited's new e-hailing platform, ProTaxi. Designed to provide an alternative transportation solution powered by rechargeable electric vehicles, the platform aims to offer affordable mobility, reduce reliance on conventional fuel, and create new income opportunities for Nigerians.

As global energy costs continue to rise, ProTaxi enters the transportation sector as a technology-driven service, connecting passengers with drivers through a digital platform, and promoting the adoption of electric vehicles in Nigeria. The company plans to begin operations in Abuja before expanding across the country, with Chief Executive Officer Ambassador Lawrence Oloche pledging to empower 1,000 families with electric vehicles through the ProTaxi initiative.

Prospective drivers can register for consideration, subject to screening and onboarding. The platform's rechargeable energy model is expected to lower fuel-related operating expenses for drivers, while offering passengers the ability to book rides, track trips, and make payments through a mobile application. ProTaxi also aims to provide drivers with flexible working schedules, ensuring they can manage their availability while earning income.

Beyond transportation, ProTaxi represents PromiseLand Innovations Limited's broader investment in technology-driven services and sustainable mobility solutions, with ambitious plans to expand the initiative beyond Nigeria and contribute to the adoption of cleaner transportation solutions across Africa.
