Margaret Qualley & Sabrina Carpenter Join Tom Holland In Fred Astaire Biopic

Sabrina Carpenter will portray Ginger Rogers and Margaret Qualley will take on the role of Adele Astaire in Tom Holland's upcoming biopic about Fred Astaire, according to TheWrap. The film, currently untitled and set to be directed by Paul King, will explore the careers of Fred and Adele, who were both major Broadway and London West End stars before Fred became a cinematic icon with his dance partner Ginger Rogers.

Paul King, who directed the film "Paddington," will helm this project, which is being produced by Amy Pascal and Rachel O'Connor, with Holland and Lightbulb Pictures involved as producers. Additional executive producers include Harry Holland, Will South, Will Clarke, and Andy Mayson. The screenplay, based on the book "The Astaires: Fred & Adele" by Kathleen Riley, will be written by Steven Levenson and Paul King.

Ava Astaire McKenzie, sister of Fred Astaire, is lending her support to the project, while her son Tyler McKenzie is serving as a consultant and co-producer. King expressed his excitement about bringing the story of Fred and Adele to the big screen, emphasizing the challenge of portraying these iconic dancers.
