Kerala State Sports Council staff suspended

Two personnel from the Kerala State Sports Council have been suspended from duty due to alleged irregularities in purchasing procedures. Arun T.S., a senior clerk, and Nithin Roy, another clerk, are currently suspended pending an investigation into their conduct. The council secretary has ordered their suspension for failing to fulfill their duties properly.

Mr. Arun is accused of mishandling purchase, custody, processing, and handover of related files. On the other hand, Mr. Roy is suspected of lapses in purchasing sports kits/tracksuits and in the custody, processing, and handover of related documentation. According to Section 10 (1) (a) of the Kerala Civil Services rules and Section 22(4) of the Kerala Sports Rules, government employees can be suspended if there is an ongoing disciplinary action against them.
