Instructor, student trapped in car after crash outside Melaka driving school

KUALA LUMPUR, September 25 - A 73-year-old driving instructor and his 20-year-old female student were trapped in their car after it collided with another vehicle outside a driving school in Kandang, Melaka, on Tuesday. The Melaka Fire and Rescue Department was alerted to the incident at 1.04pm and dispatched six personnel from the Padang Temu Fire and Rescue Station, along with a fire engine, to the scene.

Upon their arrival 10 minutes later, the team discovered a road accident involving a Perodua Axia (the instructor's car) and a Perodua Myvi (the student's car). The 22-year-old male driver of the Myvi suffered minor injuries, while the 73-year-old instructor and his student were trapped inside the Axia. Firefighters successfully extricated both victims and promptly handed them over to Health Ministry personnel for further treatment.

The rescue operation concluded at 3.04pm, once firefighters confirmed the area was clear of any additional dangers.
