Info ministry dismisses Afghan claims of destroying Pakistani post near border in Balochistan as 'fake'

The Afghan defense ministry has claimed that a Pakistani post was destroyed near the border between Balochistan and Kandahar, but the information ministry in Pakistan dismissed these allegations as "fake and fabricated." The ministry further pointed out that there were no casualties among Afghan forces in the recent clash. According to the information ministry, an attempted Afghan aggression in the Gulistan sector was thwarted on September 24-25, leading to the deaths of at least 13 Afghan Taliban personnel and several injuries.

The ministry also shared images from the incident, emphasizing the punishment inflicted on the Afghan Taliban after their "cowardly attack." This incident has occurred amidst rising tensions at the Pak-Afghan border. In response to drones launched from Afghanistan, Pakistan conducted precision strikes in 10 locations across Afghanistan on Thursday, shooting down eight drones that entered Pakistani airspace near Torkham and Kohat on Wednesday.

The Afghan Taliban has been accused of unprovoked firing near Kurram on the night before, which was foiled by security forces. Pakistan has been conducting counter-terrorism operations against terrorist hideouts in the border region with Afghanistan since the beginning of the year, with the most recent strikes killing 25 terrorists in July.

The information ministry emphasized Afghanistan's continued role as a hub of terrorism and Pakistan's ongoing counter-terrorism campaign, described as part of Pakistan's ongoing counter-terrorism campaign by the ministry.
