Immigration detains 84 foreign nationals in two-phase raid at Putrajaya’s ‘Green Flats’

PUTRAJAYA, Sept 25 — Immigration authorities detained 84 foreign nationals in a two-phase operation targeting the “Green Flats” in Pangsapuri Putra Harmoni, Putrajaya. The operation, named Ops Pintu, involved 60 personnel and began at 11.30am yesterday, inspecting business premises in the apartment area. Today, the operation resumed at 1.30am, with a focus on residents suspected of being illegal immigrants.

The department inspected 321 individuals, detaining 84 foreign nationals, including 73 men, nine women, and two children, for further investigation. Intelligence had revealed the presence of foreigners residing in the area, some believed to be conducting business activities. The department urged property owners to ensure their tenants' immigration status is valid and urged the public to provide information on illegal immigrants or suspected law violations.
