How Courtney Clawson went from a coach's daughter to 'College GameDay' | Exclusive

Courtney Clawson, now ESPN's communications manager for College GameDay, grew up immersed in college football as her father, Dave Clawson, was a Wake Forest football coach from 2014-24. From August 1 each summer, Courtney accompanied her father to preseason practices, where she managed them as his manager. They enjoyed coffee together before heading to the field and had lunch together afterward.

Dave, in turn, credits Courtney for keeping their communication clean and potentially making him a better coach. Courtney's life was filled with football, from her father's coaching to the community of fans and players at games. Her love for college football led her to pursue a career in the sport, even after her father's coaching career ended.

Now, she works at ESPN's College GameDay, where she gets to preview upcoming games and be part of the college football community she has always admired.
