Avengers: Endgame Encore adds new scenes to set up Doomsday; teases Doctor Doom

Marvel Studios has reintroduced the popular film Avengers: Endgame in a new version called Avengers: Endgame Encore. The re-release includes four new scenes set in the same universe as the upcoming film, Avengers: Doomsday. The additional footage, which lasts about four minutes, features key characters like Doctor Doom, Loki, and Bruce Banner, and is meant to tie the 2019 blockbuster directly into the upcoming team-up movie, which is set to premiere on December 18.

Marvel began building excitement for the Doomsday crossover over a year ago, starting with a series of promotional teasers revealing different pieces of the puzzle. The Endgame Encore scenes further connect the original film's loose ends to the multiverse-scale conflict that Doomsday promises.
