ASUS Opens Pre-Orders For ROG Rapture GT-BN98 WiFi 8 Router

Earlier this month, ASUS revealed the ROG Rapture GT-BN98 series of WiFi 8 routers in Malaysia. Specifically, they introduced the ROG Rapture GT-BN98 (BN25000) model. Pre-orders for this device are now open, with the company set to release it soon. This model is one of two in the series; the other, GT-BN98 Pro (BN30000), is exclusive to the US market. While the manufacturers have not detailed the differences between the two models, both offer a dual-band WiFi 8 design and a maximum wireless throughput of up to 30,000Mbps.

Under the hood, these routers are powered by a 2.6GHz quad-core processor and come with 2GB of RAM. This combination enables them to handle demanding networking tasks. Additionally, the devices are equipped with two 10Gbps ports and four 2.5Gbps LAN ports, providing various options for wired connections with high speeds. The routers also feature a 3D structural design that integrates a 16-antenna setup into eight external high-performance antennas.

They are also backed by an advanced thermal system designed to support consistent performance across the network.

The ASUS ROG Rapture GT-BN98 (BN25000) is currently available for pre-order at a suggested retail price of RM3,988.
