WERise Network announces 2026 annual programme to celebrate growth and scale women-owned businesses

The WERise Network has announced its 2026 Annual Programme, a week-long series of events aimed at honoring the accomplishments of women entrepreneurs, enhancing business capabilities, and expanding market prospects for women-owned businesses. Scheduled from September 28 to October 4, 2026, under the theme "Rise & Scale: Celebrating Growth, Building Revenue, and Creating Jobs," the programme underscores the significant role women entrepreneurs play in Ghana's economic expansion through business expansion, revenue generation, job creation, innovation, and community influence.

Encompassing a diverse group of women entrepreneurs, business leaders, development partners, policymakers, investors, customers, and other stakeholders, the 2026 Annual Programme will facilitate a week of learning, networking, business promotion, and collaboration. Key activities encompass an Annual General Meeting, Regional Fora, business exhibitions, and practical masterclasses.

These events are poised to equip participating small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with essential knowledge, practical tools, and connections to bolster their operations, augment revenue, enter new markets, and attain sustainable growth. A pivotal component of the programme will be a multi-day exhibition enabling WERise members to exhibit their businesses, products, and services directly to the public, fostering interaction between women-owned businesses, prospective customers, partners, and other market stakeholders.

Organized in collaboration with the Ghana Enterprises Agency (GEA), the Mastercard Foundation, CalBank, YFM, and Afrosphere, the 2026 Annual Programme seeks to provide women entrepreneurs with learning, networking, business promotion, and opportunities to explore innovative development and expansion avenues.
