We won't deviate from path of service: PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized on Thursday that the Bharatiya Janata Party's governance is grounded in service, and they will never deviate from this path, even as they gain political power. He stressed that the focus should remain on nation-building and development, rather than politics and elections. The youth, he said, will play a pivotal role in realizing the goal of making India a developed nation by 2047.

The Seva Sankalp Yatra, a campaign involving youth from various states, was being held to mark Modi's 76th birthday and his 25 years in public life. The yatra, currently in Madhya Pradesh's Dewas district, aimed to highlight the importance of service in governance. Modi reminded the audience that ancient cities like Vadnagar and Varanasi, which he considered his birthplace and duty land respectively, continued to thrive.

He reiterated that no matter how much political influence is attained, the fundamental path will always be service. The prime minister also highlighted the significance of the spirit of service in government schemes and stressed that the young generation would be both creators and beneficiaries of India's progress. He urged the youth to convey the message of service through their actions, embodying the philosophy of 'Seva Parmo Dharma' - service is the highest religion.
