“We are grateful for what you have achieved” – AGI President tells Finance Minister

Dr Kofi Nsiah-Poku, the President of the Association of Ghana Industries (AGI), expressed gratitude to Finance Minister Dr Cassiel Ato Forson for the progress made in stabilizing Ghana's economy. This commendation came during a meeting between the Finance Minister, AGI leadership, and prominent industry figures. Nsiah-Poku stated, "We are grateful for what you have achieved so far.

We now know that we have achieved stability, and it is time for us to grow so that we can create jobs." He further elaborated that the progress achieved provides a robust foundation for the nation's upcoming economic development phase, focusing on industrial expansion, exports, and job creation.

Minister Forson elaborated further on the purpose of the meeting, which was part of the Government's stakeholder engagements for the preparation of the 2027 Budget. He said, "We are preparing a new direction for the country. I called this meeting to engage you on what will help you expand, export more, and create more jobs." Through this dialogue, the Government reiterated its commitment to working closely with industry to consolidate economic stability and convert it into robust growth, heightened exports, and sustainable employment opportunities for Ghanaians.
