UAE launches AI-powered scholarship platform, cutting application time to just five minutes

The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in the UAE has introduced an AI-powered scholarship platform, significantly reducing the time taken for students to apply. The new platform, integrated into the EduHub digital portal, streamlines the application process, requiring only five minutes to complete. This efficiency is achieved through fewer documents needed, streamlined steps, and minimal fields to fill in, leading to less paperwork and more time for students to prepare for their studies.

The platform, part of EduHub, connects with various government entities, reducing the required documents to just two and eliminating the need for personal information or high school transcripts for students following the government curriculum. The number of steps has been reduced from five to three, and the number of fields from 22 to four, cutting the application time to a minimum of five minutes.

AI technology handles document verification and automates procedures, allowing for electronic signature of scholarship agreements and automatic submission of documents post-awarding. Immediate notifications and updates on application status are provided, along with a direct messaging feature for communication with the relevant department.

This digital transformation addresses challenges such as tracking applications via email, resolving technical issues, and lengthy document-signing procedures, all of which are now fully digital and more reliable. The Ministry will assess the platform's effectiveness and impact on customer satisfaction during the next phase, aiming for continuous improvement and the best possible outcomes.
