Tennessee football announces uniform combination for Texas game

Tennessee football has announced their uniform combination for their upcoming game against top-ranked Texas on September 26th at Neyland Stadium. The Vols will be wearing white helmets, orange uniforms, and white pants, marking the first time the Longhorns have ever played football in Knoxville. This traditional look has been the centerpiece of UT's home games so far in the 2026 season, with two of their first three victories coming in this combination.

During the 2025 season, the Vols went 3-2 in games featuring this traditional home uniform, including wins over Syracuse, ETSU, and Arkansas, while suffering losses to Georgia and Vanderbilt. They also faced Georgia Tech in white helmets, uniforms, and pants, winning 45-24 on September 12th. The Vols will wear grey uniforms, which celebrate the 100th anniversary of General Robert Neyland's first season coaching the Vols, when they host Auburn on October 3rd.

Additionally, UT will add a throwback flair to their orange uniforms during the October 17th clash with Alabama, when the Crimson Tide will wear crimson, marking the first color-on-color matchup between the two rivals since 1970.
