‘Tekanan politik, niat jahat’ sebab PN digantung, dakwa Takiyuddin

Perikatan Nasional (PN) faces immediate legal action from Jabatan Pendaftaran Pertubuhan Malaysia (JPPM) after being suspended on 23 September, according to its Deputy Leader Takiyuddin Hassan. The suspension comes after the agency gave PN 30 days to respond to Bersatu's allegations following a meeting on July 16. Takiyuddin also claims that the suspension was made on the day of the announcement and is a result of political pressure and dark motives aimed at weakening PN from within and outside.

PN has denied the possibility of facing any hostile or political pressure, stating that the notice and order of suspension were delivered to them on September 22 and 23 respectively. JPPM has provided PN with a 30-day window to respond to the allegations made against it in a meeting held on July 16. Despite accepting the JPPM decision, PN does not agree with the basis of the decision and is taking immediate legal steps through the available legal process to protect its objectives and agenda.

Takiyuddin emphasized that PN has issued a ban on any unilateral statements by any party regarding PN, except those made by the party's Secretary-General Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar and himself. He further explained that the action taken by JPPM is a measure to potentially dissolve PN after it receives a notice under Section 13(2A) of the Companies Act 1966, which requires suspending all its activities until a specified date.

Today, JPPM denies the cancellation of PN's registration while asserting that the coalition has been given a fair period to respond to the allegations reported by Bersatu. Consequently, all PN activities have been suspended by force as of September 23, in line with Section 13(2A) of the Act.
