Stravito integrates market research into enterprise AI tools with MCP server

Stravito, a knowledge management startup based in Stockholm, has launched a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that integrates its consumer and market research with enterprise AI tools like OpenAI’s ChatGPT, Anthropic’s Claude, and Microsoft’s Copilot. The server enables these AI applications to access research stored in Stravito, which includes reports, presentations, spreadsheets, audio, and video.

Thor Olof Philogène, Stravito’s founder and CEO, explained that the breakthrough lies in being able to incorporate research alongside customer relationship management, business intelligence, and social listening data within the same AI conversation. For instance, an employee could ask an AI assistant a question that combines consumer studies with information from a CRM database and business intelligence dashboard.

Philogène highlighted that while the underlying technology for interpreting visuals like charts and graphs isn’t exclusive, Stravito has tailored it to the specific types of research its customers manage. The server provides traceability, ensuring that responses include citations linking to the relevant research, often down to a specific spreadsheet cell. Additionally, the permissions customers have set within Stravito are applied to the access, limiting what each employee can retrieve.

The MCP server offers a read-only connection to Stravito’s data, adhering to the access permissions already established by the customer. This ensures that the information provided is defensible. The server’s integration capabilities are provided through MCP, which is different from Stravito’s existing APIs that cater to integrations requiring speed or a more specific connection.

Stravito’s existing APIs remain accessible for integrations where speed or a more precise connection is necessary. However, MCP simplifies access to a broader range of Stravito’s data connections and AI capabilities, enabling customers to easily incorporate this research into the AI applications their employees frequently use. Despite the new server’s capabilities, customers primarily continue to manage and analyze their research on the Stravito platform.
