SportsNet Pittsburgh's 2026-27 Penguins Coverage to Feature 67 Games, Yearlong Celebration of Team's 60th Anniversary

Pittsburgh SportsNet (SNP) has unveiled its extensive 2026-27 broadcasting schedule for the Pittsburgh Penguins, marking the team's 60th anniversary. The network will air 67 games as part of the celebration, featuring expanded live gameday programming, original series, alternate broadcasts, new graphics, and enhanced viewing technology. The coverage will extend across linear, streaming, digital, and social platforms, honoring the players, moments, and fans that have shaped six decades of Penguins hockey.

SNP will provide full pregame and postgame coverage for every regular-season game, beginning with the season opener on September 30. The network's regular-season coverage kicks off with the Penguins' home opener against the Montreal Canadiens on October 3 at PPG Paints Arena. Throughout the season, SNP will deliver one hour of live pregame programming and one hour of postgame coverage for each game presentation.

David Wisnia, President and CEO of SportsNet Pittsburgh, expressed enthusiasm about the anniversary celebration, stating that it offers an opportunity to honor the franchise's past while bringing fans closer to the team. The network's gameday coverage and studio shows will feature familiar Pittsburgh hockey voices, including play-by-play announcer Josh Getzoff, analysts Colby Armstrong and Phil Bourque, studio host Dan Potash, and in-game reporter Katie Florio.

New graphics package and unobstructed views will be introduced for select games, providing fans with cutting-edge statistics, analytics, and unique perspectives. Additionally, the network will air original programming, such as the weekly 45-minute podcast "Get Me The Brandy," a 22-minute video edition, and the 30-minute original program "Steel City Chronicles," examining the players, teams, and eras that built the Penguins' legacy.
