40th Anniversary Editions of Motörhead’s Orgasmatron Announced

Motörhead's 1986 album Orgasmatron is celebrating its 40th anniversary with a series of reissues set to release in November. The new versions feature a remix of the album by Cameron Webb and a remaster by Bill Laswell. A lyric video for the title track "Orgasmatron" has been released. The remix brings out greater sonic depth and adds to the album's psychedelic drama, reflecting the album's literate lyrics that critique religion.

The original mix, however, was criticized for losing some power, bite, and energy. Motörhead's longtime producer, Cameron Webb, was approached about remixing Orgasmatron, to which he enthusiastically agreed. Webb, who has been collaborating with the band since 2004, aimed to respect the original recording while revealing more of its inner character.

Fans can pre-order the 40th anniversary editions of Orgasmatron in three formats: single violet vinyl, a 3LP bookpack, or a 2CD media book.
