Russia hits Kyiv with missiles during Zelenskyy's meeting with U.S. lawmakers

He emphasized that explosions illuminated the night sky while residents were asleep, resulting in two deaths and multiple injuries. Emergency services were on the scene, and people were trapped in one building. Zelenskyy discussed missile defense strategies with six U.S. House representatives, expressing that every attack is due to insufficient pressure on the aggressor, allowing Russia to continue its ballistic terror.

He urged the U.S. to respond decisively, highlighting the need for ballistic missile interceptors to safeguard lives and the enforcement of strict sanctions against Russia and its supporters. Russian forces targeted Kyiv with ballistic missiles overnight on September 24, killing two individuals and injuring five others. Emergency responders are searching for survivors trapped under the rubble, and the attack also damaged a maternity hospital in Kyiv's Podilskyi district.

Additionally, Odesa faced attacks on the same night, damaging a medical facility, a school, and homes.
