Police explain death of Antony Ochieng after arrest in Githurai

An individual named Antony Ochieng tragically lost his life after being arrested in the Githurai area of Kasarani. This incident has sparked demands for an investigation into the cause of his death, following allegations that police officers responsible for his arrest may have contributed to it. Ochieng, along with an accomplice, reportedly fled in a Mazda car after police officers caught wind of a theft occurring in the region.

The pair crashed their vehicle, leaving Ochieng with serious injuries. While one of the accomplices managed to escape, Ochieng was taken to the hospital, where he sadly succumbed to his injuries. Police claim that Ochieng lost control of the speeding vehicle, which crashed into an electric pole and subsequently plunged into a deep ditch, resulting in extensive damage to the car.

Ochieng's friends have called for a transparent investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death, demanding accountability and answers if the allegations regarding police misconduct are proven true.
