PM Anutin congratulates Nene Royal on AGT 2026 win

PM Anutin has praised 16-year-old Thai singer and guitarist Nene Royal after she emerged victorious on America’s Got Talent Season 21, lauding her accomplishment as a source of national pride. Deputy government spokeswoman Ploytalay Laksameesangchan confirmed that Anutin, who is currently in New York on an official mission, extended his congratulations to Nene Royal, whose real name is Rattikan Amloys and hails from Phuket.

The prime minister commended Nene’s talent, determination and efforts throughout the competition, highlighting her exceptional singing and guitar skills, as well as her captivating performances that captivated audiences across the competition. Nene showcased her remarkable abilities during the finale at Pasadena Civic Auditorium in Pasadena, California, on September 22 local time, alongside nine other finalists.

The winner was announced on September 23. Nene initially gained attention during the audition round with her rendition of “Zombie” by The Cranberries, impressing the judges with her ability to sing and play guitar simultaneously, earning four "Yes" votes. She later received a Golden Buzzer from judge Mel B after delivering an outstanding performance of “Black Hole Sun” by Soundgarden during the Live Quarterfinals, securing her spot in the final.

Anutin also congratulated Nene’s family, supporters, and everyone who contributed to her achievement, expressing gratitude for her opportunity to showcase Thai talent to the world. He emphasized that Nene’s success demonstrates that Thai youth can compete on the international stage when provided with the right opportunities and a strong commitment to honing their abilities.

The government, Anutin added, will continue to support children and young people in Thailand to develop their talents and pursue global opportunities.
