Pixel 11 starts testing ‘Call for Me’ to have Gemini phone on your behalf

Google is rolling out a new "Call for Me" feature on the Pixel 11 series, which utilizes Gemini Intelligence to handle routine phone calls. Similar to Google Duplex, the feature is designed to respect the time of shop owners and front-desk staff, with the calls made by Gemini representing real customers conducting real transactions.

Users will have control over the process, with a live transcript available and the ability to take over at any point during the conversation. Gemini will introduce itself and navigate through any automated phone menus, waiting on hold if necessary. The feature is currently in an early preview for Gemini subscribers enrolled in the Phone by Google beta on Pixel 11, 11 Pro, 11 Pro XL, and 11 Pro Fold devices in the US.
