Penn State wide receiver Koby Howard is out indefinitely with an undisclosed injury

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (AP) — Penn State's star wide receiver Koby Howard's promising start has abruptly ended. Head coach Matt Campbell announced Wednesday that Howard will be sidelined for an indefinite period due to an undisclosed injury sustained during a victory over Buffalo last weekend. Campbell did not disclose the duration of Howard's absence, but reassured that it was not season-ending.

Howard, who had an impressive day with 135 yards total offense and two touchdowns, including a 70-yard catch-and-run scoring play, was injured while executing that play. Despite initial optimism from Campbell that Howard could return in the upcoming Big Ten game against Wisconsin, Penn State will face the Badgers without their key playmaker.
