Peluang Wawasan lebih baik berbanding Bersama dengan sokongan PAS

Analysts believe the true strength of the Vision Party remains undetermined as it contested alongside the People's Promise (PN) in the last PRN election. Mazlan Ali from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia pointed out that Wawasan has an advantage in leveraging PAS's network and voter support, unlike Bersatu which is expected to go it alone.

Despite the possibility of gaining a certain number of votes, Bersatu would struggle to win elections due to its lack of a strong base. Meanwhile, Wawasan's impact on urban voters, middle-class voters, and higher-income voters is not as widespread. Lau Zhe Wei from Universiti Islam Antarabangsa Malaysia noted that the true strength of Wawasan cannot be assessed yet as it contested alongside PN in Negeri Sembilan.

However, this does not negate Wawasan's advantage in having PAS's network and voter support. The key factor Wawasan needs to consider is the distribution of seats between PN and Barisan Nasional if the two alliances work together. If they can work without interference and there is room for Wawasan to compete, its chances of winning would be brighter.

Ahmad Zaharuddin Sani Ahmad Sabri from Global Asia Consulting stated that Wawasan's three wins in Negeri Sembilan were due to political collaboration, which helped the party reap the benefits of greater strength. These three seats are evidence that Wawasan can win, but they are not enough to prove it has autonomous strength outside the alliance formula, he added.

Zaharuddin believes that PRN Melaka will be an opportunity for both Wawasan and Bersatu to demonstrate their capabilities following the different electoral experiences. Wawasan needs to prove that the three Negeri Sembilan seats were not a one-time phenomenon, while Bersatu needs to prove that 15 losses in Johor are not an identity that will last, he added.

In August, Bersatu became the first party to confirm it would contest in 15 out of 28 DUN seats in PRN Melaka, while Wawasan expressed its desire to contest in Bemban and Sungai Udang, two seats currently held by the party.
