No PN logo no problem if PH’s our opponent, says Sanusi

PAS election chief Sanusi Nor disclosed that the party's central working committee will soon deliberate on the logo for the forthcoming Melaka state election. This decision comes after Perikatan Nasional (PN) was suspended by the Registrar of Societies. Sanusi, who serves as election director for both PN and PAS, explained to FMT that the logo issue would be addressed during the upcoming PAS central working committee meeting.

Kedah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Dr Zambri Abdul Ghani remarked with a jest that if PN were not contesting against Pakatan Harapan (PH), they would still perform well regardless of the logo used. The Registrar of Societies dismissed PN on the same day it was given 30 days to respond to a complaint filed by Bersatu. The Melaka state assembly was also dissolved the same day, with its election scheduled within 60 days.

PN's secretary-general, Takiyuddin Hassan, speculated that political pressure may have prompted the suspension, whereas his coalition partner, Wawasan, questioned the timing, citing the imminent Melaka polls. PN and PH are both seeking alliances with Barisan Nasional for the Melaka state election, as BN and PN previously formed a coalition for the Negeri Sembilan polls, securing a two-thirds majority.
