No PN logo no problem if PH’s our opponent, says Sanusi

PAS election chief Sanusi Nor revealed that the party has not yet settled on a logo for the upcoming Melaka state election, which is scheduled to take place within 60 days following the dissolution of the current assembly. Nor, who serves as the election director for both PAS and PN, noted that the issue would be addressed when PAS's central working committee convenes.

Kedah Menteri Besar, however, playfully suggested that the use of PN's logo would not be a problem if their main rival, Pakatan Harapan, were the opposition party. "If we're going up against PH, even a slipper logo would garner more votes," he quipped. The Registrar of Societies recently suspended PN, following a 30-day deadline to respond to a complaint from Bersatu.

The Melaka assembly's dissolution and the upcoming state election have sparked speculation about the motivations behind the suspension, with PN's secretary-general, Takiyuddin Hassan, hinting at possible political pressure, while Wawasan, a coalition partner, questioned the timing, citing the approaching Melaka polls. Both PN and PH are reportedly seeking alliances with Barisan Nasional for the upcoming state election. Prior to the Melaka polls, BN and PN had formed an alliance, securing a two-thirds majority.
