Manny Pacquiao rumoured to fight on Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua undercard

Dubai: Prominent boxing match between Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury is reportedly 99 percent finalized, with only the official announcement between the two heavyweight fighters left. Frank Warren, who manages Fury, recently told BoxNation that negotiations for the highly anticipated bout are nearly completed. The fight is anticipated to occur at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium, with December 11 as the current target date, though December 18 remains a potential alternative.

Meanwhile, Netflix is also seeking to secure Manny Pacquiao vs Shakur Stevenson as a "double main event" on the same card, according to BoxingScene. However, contracts have not yet been finalized with either Stevenson or Pacquiao. Pacquiao's advisor, Jas Mathur, stated that the Filipino's compensation is still being discussed. The 47-year-old Pacquiao has not competed since July 2025, when he drew with then-WBC welterweight champion Mario Barrios.

Stevenson, at 29, is currently unbeaten at 25-0, defeating Teofimo Lopez via unanimous decision earlier this year. The proposed fight follows Pacquiao's failed pursuit of a Floyd Mayweather Jr rematch in 2017, which ultimately fell through. Pacquiao still plans to attempt a rematch with Mayweather in 2027. The potential Joshua-Fury fight in Cardiff would address one of boxing's lingering unanswered questions, potentially marking a significant development in the heavyweight rivalry following years of unsuccessful negotiations.
