Man with knife attacks people, damages property in Asok

On Thursday, September 24, 2026, a man wielding a knife carried out a violent rampage in Bangkok's Asok area, resulting in injuries to four individuals and significant property damage at multiple shops. The attack occurred near Sukhumvit 21, Soi 3, also known as Soi Asok Montri.

According to a Facebook post by user Nuchy Clubpolo, the assailant can be seen in a video walking along the pavement carrying a knife and damaging shop property. Emergency responders and rescue workers from the Poh Teck Tung Foundation arrived on the scene to manage the situation.

Witnesses reported that the perpetrator was a Myanmar national, and suggested he may have become distressed after being unable to locate his wife.
