Madhya Bharat Unit Resumes Operations After 18-Day Closure In Meghnagar

Meghnagar, Madhya Pradesh: The Madhya Bharat Private Limited unit, which manufactures Single Super Phosphate, has resumed operations after an 18-day closure. The factory was sealed on September 4 due to concerns about pollution. The decision to reopen was made by Meghnagar SDM Avanti Pradhan, who reviewed a Pollution Control Board report and a statement from the factory management.

The board found no evidence of polluted water discharge from the factory. The management also promised to enhance housekeeping and adhere to environmental regulations. As part of the agreement with the administration, the company will undertake community service projects in Fatehpur village, which include painting and plastering at a school, providing a smart TV and drinking water facilities, installing an RO system, repairing an anganwadi building, upgrading an approach road, and constructing a water tank.

The administration has instructed the management to complete these improvements and stated that periodic inspections will be carried out. If any environmental violations are discovered in the future, action will be taken. The company has been granted permission by the Pollution Control Board to manufacture Single Super Phosphate until 2028.

Madhya Bharat Private Limited's managing director, Puneet Makharia, affirmed that the management has addressed the identified issues and will uphold environmental responsibilities and administrative directives.
