Kepincangan punca PN digantung, kata Zahid

Deputy Prime Minister Zahid Hamidi stated that it is the responsibility of JPPM to protect the interests of members of any registered organization under the Societies Act 1966. "Of course, there have been some controversies within Perikatan Nasional that led to this suspension," he said. Zahid told reporters after inaugurating the first session of the Central Region 2026 Politeknik and Community College Congress at the Tuanku Canselor Hall, Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (Upsi).

He hoped that the suspension would be handled calmly by PN and its constituent parties, and that the PRN Malacca would be ready. He said that PN certainly has its own plan if the suspension continues. "Of course, the constituent parties will use the party symbols to enter the state of Melaka or the general elections coming up," he said.

Earlier, JPPM issued a suspension order for all PN activities on September 23, 2026, which was based on a notice received from PN on September 22, 2026, under Subsection 13(2A) of the Societies Act 1966.
