Kepincangan punca PN digantung, kata Zahid

Pertuan Agong's Deputy, Zahid Hamidi, opened the inaugural session of the Mid-Year Conference of Polytechnics and Community Colleges Zone 2026 at Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris, dismissing the suspension of all Perikatan Nasional (PN) activities as not arbitrary. The Malaysian Society Registration Board (JPPM) issued a suspension order based on the complaints received, said Zahid.

"There have been certain discrepancies within Perikatan Nasional that have led to this suspension decision," he explained. Zahid addressed journalists after the opening ceremony at Tun Din Auditorium, Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris. He expressed hope that the suspension would be handled calmly by PN and its coalition partners, with the PRN Melaka party ready to commence preparations.

Zahid emphasized that PN has its own plans if the suspension continues. "The coalition parties will utilize their respective party symbols to participate in the forthcoming state or general elections in Melaka," he added. Previously, JPPM issued a suspension order on 23rd September, citing Subsection 13(2A) of the Societies Act 1966, following a notice received from PN on 22nd September 2026.
