Kemelut PN: Peja ‘kecewa, marah, malu, dikhianati’

Petro Negeri: Peja expresses disappointment, anger, embarrassment, and betrayal over PKR's disarray

PETALING JAYA: Bersatu Deputy President Ahmad Faizal Azumu has characterized the turmoil within Perikatan Nasional (PN) as something that brings great disappointment, shame, and betrayal. Faizal, also known as Peja, expressed his sadness because what began as a small issue has escalated into a major crisis. "Tell me this. I am undoubtedly feeling disappointed, angry, embarrassed, and betrayed," he said on Facebook.

Without naming anyone, Faizal laments the shift in attitude shown by a leader after they are no longer at the top. "When the leader is on top, you are submissive, you respect, you share all the blessings, feel the power, and share the wealth," he said. "When the leader is down, you are aggressive, you are selfish, and you slander the promises made."

Faizal also criticized those who blamed other leaders for every problem without admitting their own mistakes. He reminded himself that no one is perfect and everyone must be ready to correct their own mistakes. "I feel guilty for myself. I am not perfect. Of course, I am mistaken. I must correct it. I don't need to keep pointing my finger as if I am always right and others are always wrong," he said.

These comments came as PKR and PAS relations remain tense, including after the Malaysian Registration of Organizations Committee (JPPM) suspended all PN-powered activities on 23 September following Bersatu's allegations. JPPM stated that the suspension aims to protect the organization's interests and prevent PN from continuing to violate its rules, while emphasizing it is not a decision to cancel PN registration.

PN, on the other hand, denied the basis of JPPM's action and vowed to take legal steps, in addition to rejecting the possibility of political pressure.
