Iran threatens US and Israel with expanding scope of war ‘as far as the the Indian ocean’

Iranian military adviser Yahya Rahim Safavi warned on Thursday that Iran is prepared to expand the conflict's geographical reach to as far as the Indian Ocean if the United States and Israel attack Iranian facilities or national interests. Safavi stated that Iran's armed forces are planning for worst-case scenarios and possess combat readiness to confront any enemy. He emphasized that if attacked, the war front would expand, potentially reaching as far as the Indian Ocean or beyond.

Safavi highlighted that Iran's control and management of the Strait of Hormuz would remain intact, but alleged that the US is obstructing a mechanism reached with Oman for maritime traffic through the strait. He concluded that Iran seeks to avoid war but would be fully prepared for comprehensive defense if war is forced upon them.
