United States ambassador Leo Brent Bozell III has criticized the South African government for dismissing viable proposals aimed at improving rural safety. Bozell visited AfriForum's headquarters in Centurion to tour their control centre, where the civil society group coordinates community safety initiatives. He expressed that rural safety plans were presented to the highest government offices, but no action was taken.

Additionally, Johannesburg's debt relief program is nearing completion, with approximately 18,000 applications submitted, totaling over R2 billion in debt relief sought. Moreover, President Cyril Ramaphosa condemned gender-based violence (GBV) during Heritage Day celebrations, emphasizing that violence against women is not a part of South African heritage.

He stated that abuse, rape, and killing of women should not be experienced by future generations in the country. International Relations and Cooperation Minister Ronald Lamola also addressed the claims of white genocide, asserting that evidence of such claims is lacking and called for evidence-based discussions to improve South Africa-US relations.
