iCAUR 03 RWD Begins Local Assembly; Retains Launch CBU Price

iCAUR recently began local assembly of its rear wheel drive (RWD) version of the 03 SUV, continuing a launch price that mirrors the country-built base clearance unit (CBU). The electric SUV, which first made its debut last year, has seen its assembly shift from fully assembled imports to local production. This shift follows the local assembly of the Intelligent Wheel Drive (iWD, 4WD) variant back in May.

The RWD model boasts a motor generating 135 kW and 220 Nm, capable of accelerating from 0-100 km/h in 10.5 seconds and reaching a top speed of 150 km/h. Powered by a 65.7 kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery, it offers an NEDC range of up to 426km, with charging capabilities of up to 80 kW DC and 6.6 kW AC. Inside, the vehicle features a 9.2-inch digital instrument cluster and a 15.6-inch infotainment system that supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

Luxury features include faux leather upholstery, powered and ventilated seats for front and rear passengers, and an eight-speaker sound system. Safety is enhanced with six airbags and a Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) suite. The locally assembled RWD version, priced at RM119,740 on-the-road without insurance, will hit the streets in the coming month and is currently available in limited quantities.
