‘I hate Peter Obi’s ‘go and verify’ approach – Umahi

In a video that gained widespread attention on Wednesday, Umahi expressed his distaste for Obi's habit of encouraging Nigerians to independently verify his claims, particularly regarding governance, public spending, development, and his own performance in office.

Umahi stated, "I hate hearing this statement he always makes, ‘go and verify.'" This criticism comes from Obi's frequent use of the approach to challenge the public to examine and cross-check his assertions against available records, documents, and other sources before accepting them at face value. He has consistently presented this method as an invitation for scrutiny, especially when discussing his tenure as governor, Nigeria's economic situation, public finances, and policy decisions.
