Hibs appoint Dutchman Reedijk as new manager

Marink Reedijk, a Dutch manager, has been appointed as the new head coach of Hibernian. He replaces David Gray, who was dismissed after a challenging beginning to the season. Reedijk, 35, will lead the Scottish Premiership team, succeeding Gray, who was let go eight days ago. Reedijk has spent the past two seasons with Beveren, securing promotion to the top flight last season following an unbeaten campaign.

Before joining Beveren, he held academy positions at Ajax and West Bromwich Albion, as well as senior roles at KSV Roeselare, Vitesse, and RSCA Futures. Hibs describe Reedijk as having a commendable reputation for implementing aggressive, intense, and cohesive football strategies, along with fostering a robust team environment. Reedijk expressed his excitement about joining the club, stating that he was drawn to their ambitious goals and the clear vision of what they aim to achieve.

He emphasized his desire to create a team that is assertive, gives their all, and plays with purpose, ultimately providing their supporters with a team to cheer for wholeheartedly. Reedijk will be supported by Rogier Molhoek during his tenure at Easter Road.
