Girl, 10, dies a day after being run over by lorry in Kota Baru

KOTA BARU: A ten-year-old girl named Putri Nur Aishah Abdullah passed away after being struck by a lorry while accompanying her grandfather on a motorcycle. The tragic incident occurred on Sunday evening, as the family returned home after sharing a meal together. The lorry was traveling in the same direction when it collided with their motorcycle, causing the girl to fall to the right and sustain severe injuries.

Her mother, Nadja Aida Natasha Mohd Noor, relayed the harrowing account of her daughter's condition, stating that she was rushed to Hospital Pakar Universiti Sains Malaysia in Kubang Kerian, where doctors performed emergency surgery to stem the heavy bleeding. Despite the successful surgery, Putri's bleeding persisted, and the medical team called her parents the next day to discuss a second operation.

Tragically, the little girl's heart stopped for approximately 15 minutes during the discussion, but doctors swiftly administered CPR, restoring her pulse. Despite her oxygen level plummeting to around 30 percent, Putri's parents have accepted her untimely demise, yet they remain disappointed that the lorry driver did not extend an apology. The young girl was laid to rest at the Kampung Chicha Muslim Cemetery on Monday evening.
