Father, teenage son held over Kuala Kangsar murder of woman with disabilities

On September 23, 2026, a 49-year-old woman with disabilities was found dead in her home in Kampung Cheh Kati, Kuala Kangsar, Malaysia. The victim's body was discovered in the living room, lying face down and unconscious. Police were alerted to the incident at 2:38pm following a report from family members who discovered the woman in this state. Initial reports suggest the incident may have arisen from a misunderstanding between the victim and two male suspects.

Following the tragic discovery, the suspects, a 44-year-old father and his 15-year-old son, have been held by authorities. The father has been remanded for seven days, while his son has been held for two days, both starting today. This decision was made by Magistrate Azlin Zeti Zainal Abidin at the Kuala Kangsar Magistrate’s Court. The remand orders were issued after the police requested an investigation into the case under Section 302 of the Penal Code.
