Punjab University Launches New Online Affiliation Portal

Punjab University's Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr. Muhammad Ali, inaugurated the university's new online affiliation portal on Wednesday and shared the affiliation report for the 2025-2026 and 2026-2027 academic sessions. The report showcases the university's strides in digital transformation, the growth of affiliated colleges, increased student enrollment, and the introduction of varied academic programs.

During the inauguration ceremony held at the VC's Office Committee Room, Prof. Dr. Ali emphasized the importance of transparency, efficiency, and quality education across the university's affiliated colleges. He commended the Affiliation Branch for digitizing all affiliation records, stating that this step would enhance record management, boost transparency, and provide easier access to information.

Prof. Dr. Muhammad Akram highlighted that the new online portal would enable colleges to file applications digitally for new affiliations, extensions to existing affiliations, and increases in student intake limits. Additionally, the portal would facilitate the online transmission of affiliation notifications, providing colleges with crucial information such as their names, approved student intake, and affiliation sessions.

The system is designed to automatically transfer affiliation data to the registration portal, streamlining the process of entering student enrollment details for affiliated colleges.

According to the report, revenue collections from both private and public sector colleges experienced a notable increase from the 2025-2026 to the 2026-2027 academic sessions.
