‘American Horror Story’ Season 13 Creators and Cast Tease Voodoo, Odd Pairings … and Lady Gaga?

Ryan Murphy, co-creator and executive producer of "American Horror Story," has teased the upcoming Season 13, which he describes as an ode to the fans. Drawing inspiration from the first six seasons, the new season combines tones from "Murder House," "Coven," and "Hotel." Director Murphy directed five of the 13 episodes, emphasizing extensive research, including fan theories on TikTok and lore breakdowns on YouTube, to ensure the show pays attention to fan preferences.

Lady Gaga will not be returning, as she recently had a baby, but Murphy remains open to future collaborations. Queenie, played by Gabourey Sidibe, will embrace her voodoo side, exploring a new aspect of her powers as a living voodoo doll. Angela Bassett and Jessica Lange return as Marie Laveau and Constance Langdon, engaging in playful banter while preparing the witches for an impending threat.

Jessica Lange and Billie Lourd, from different eras of the series, will have more screentime together, creating memorable scenes. Returning character Elizabeth Short, known as the Black Dahlia, is portrayed by Mena Suvari, who expressed gratitude for being included in the story and the dedication put into her portrayal.
