Amazon is looking to hire back 'boomerang' workers it previously laid off

The initiative, known as "Swami's Boomerang Reengagement Initiative," involves making the interview process easier for former employees.

Amazon is also investigating the impact of its return-to-office mandates, which may have contributed to former workers' departures. The tech giant aims to rehire employees in areas critical to its business while reducing headcount in less important areas.
